General Responsibilities: Provide BHRS/ABA Case Management services

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in related field (Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, etc.)

Skill(s): Excellent written and oral communication skills; organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task; problem solving ability; ability to facilitate effective team communication; sensitivity and ability to work effectively with families from various backgrounds and cultures; and flexibility to respond to growing program.

Experience: Minimum of one year of behavioral health experience, preferably related to case management or behavioral and/or counseling experience with children and families.

Essential Duties:

  

  • Provide case management services for families in the BHRS ABA program, maintaining the number of cases that are needed for the progress of the program.

  

  • Fulfill administrative requirements for timely authorization of services, including the completion of all necessary documentation for submission to Magellan Behavioral Health to ensure uninterrupted services.

 

  • Secure authorizations from private insurance companies according to the requirements of the insurance company and Magellan Behavioral Health for clients with autism to maintain compliance with Act 62.

 

  • Coordinate evaluations and meetings.

 

  • Monitor the completion of required assessments by clinicians and families.

 

  • Facilitate the communication among team members and families.

 

  • Communicate about case issues with clinical supervisors when appropriate.

 

  • Provide support to the team members and families being served.

 

  • Provide informative resources to families including parent training opportunities, community events, activities available locally for special needs children, etc.

 

  • Link families with needed community supports.

 

  • Maintain accurate and complete files for each case.

 

  • Create CM Progress notes documenting all tasks completed and all communication for each case.

 

  • Participate in monthly team meetings and one-on-one meetings with supervisor.

 

Other Duties:  

  • Attend training as required by program/department.  Maintain current training certifications as needed for programs.

 

  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
